Gwyneth in her sexiest outfit yet

After three years away from the spotlight, Gwyneth Paltrow is certainly making up for lost time.

The actress was back on the promotional trail last night with another glamorous red carpet appearance at a screening of her new film Iron Man at New York's Tribeca Grand Hotel.

Gwyneth, who has trotted around the globe in towering 7inch heels this month - Burberry boots in Berlin! Pacchini platforms in Paris! - didn't disappoint, arriving at the event in a pair of black patent Christian Louboutins.

But it was her daring little black dress, a thigh-skimming see-through Stella McCartney number, that really stole the show.

It's Gwyneth's first official tour of duty since she stepped away from the spotlight to raise her two children.

Cobain's Girl for Chanel

Fashion god Karl Lagerfeld apparently wants Frances Bean Cobain to be the face of Chanel. Frances is the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain. Frances is 15-years old and is the new muse of Lagerfeld.

A friend says, "She and her mother are having talks with Karl about Frances appearing in his next ad campaign.

"Courtney is concerned about Frances pursuing a catwalk career at such a young age, so she has been involved in all the talks so far."

Kurt Cobain-themed trainer

Converse have come up with a new way to boost sales: by creating a line dedicated to Kurt Cobain. Way to work that angle, Converse. Kurt was wearing their brand when he committed suicide in 1994. The shoes feature artwork borrowed from Cobain's personal notebooks. "Distressed in the way Kurt Cobain wore them, the shoes display his hopes, dreams and lyrics from amazing songs such as Come As You Are."

Courtney Love played a part in the line by personally reviewing and approving all of the designs. The kicks will be available in May. So get out your flannel shirt and rock out!
